THYROGLOBULIN AUTOANTIBODY (TGA) TEST
Normal healthy animals should have a negative TGA test. Dogs with an ”inconclusive” result should be retested in 6 months to 1 year. Dogs with positive TGA tests usually become hypothyroid, so their thyroid levels should be monitored. Free T4 by dialysis is recommended.
